The Punta Cana area consists almost exclusively of large all-inclusive resorts that cater mostly to couples or families. The exception is spring school break, when groups of university students fly down from Canada and the US.

The room rates include most of the amenities, activities, and gratuities – quests will not be charged extra for the many amenities available at this hotel, which include 400-meter (4,304-foot) lagoon-style swimming pool, a separate children’s pool, a spa tub, a health spa, and a fitness center.

The Majestic Colonial Punta Cana offers 658 Colonial-style guest suites on four floors, with views of the garden, pool, or ocean.
